JOB TITLE:

Summer Bridge Peer Host

JOB PURPOSE: Summer Bridge Peer Hosts are employed for a little over four weeks in the summer to serve as leaders to incoming students in the Summer Bridge. Hosts live in residence halls and serve as example students to incoming freshmen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hosts attend classes, facilitate activities, and troubleshoot problems that may come up. The Summer Bridge Hosts must be University of Wyoming students who have studied on campus for two or more years. The qualified candidates must have strong leadership skills, especially with first-year students. They must have strong problem-solving skills. They are required to live in the residence halls during their time of employment. They must have a current valid driver's license. In addition to room and board, the selected candidates will receive $1,500 at a rate of $18.75 per hour for 80 hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be University of Wyoming student who have studied on campus for two or more years

Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
